What is Shakespeare's Globe Archive?

Shakespeare's Globe Archive is an exciting new collection of documents that offer a unique insight into performances at the reconstructed Globe Theatre and the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse from 1996 to 2016.

The collection contains a wide range of resources for researchers of Shakespeare and performance such as posters, programmes, props, oral histories, music and architectural material. These documents can in turn be considered in relation to the main themes covered in the collection which include areas like Original Practice, make-up and costume, stage directions, pronunciation and audience response.
